UPDATE: Water will be shut off on 4rth and 2nd Streets Saturday morning while work crews repair the breaks.
After the recent repairs to the underground pipes, we had thought the leaks along Main Ave and surrounding streets had been resolved. Unfortunately a major leak has occurred in the area resulting in flooded roads, driveways and yards.
Vice-president of the board, Mark Jozapaitis and board member Aaron Washburn has spoken to the Water Department about the problem. Mr. Jozapaitis pushed back against the Water Departments plan to shut the water off over night. After some discussion decision was made to keep the water on so residents will still have access to water until work crews return the next day to work on fixing this new leak.
There is no word on when this new leak will be fixed as of this writing. Once we hear more about the status of these repairs this article will be updated.
I want to give a well deserved thank you to Mark Jozapaitis, VP of the Association, for all the time and effort he put in to making sure the water leaks up front were taken care of by Kelloc along with the infrastructure that was torn up during the repair and after the storm. Again, thank you Mark.
