If you’ve lived here in the park for any length of time you know the front entrance has always been an eyesore. Well good news! As part of the board’s push to clean up the park; the front entrance is an eyesore no more! Board members Scott White and Dave Fiske along with volunteers Buddy Cotone and Eric Dreist put some quality landscaping time into the island at the parks entrance.
What a difference having all those unwanted tree saplings and underbrush removed makes! I’ve included some before, during and after photos so our members can really appreciate the difference this work made.
Before:
Here you can see the entrance in it’s original state. Everything is overgrown, and there is a young tree growing by the park sign.
During
After some much needed pruning and general clearing out, you can start to see how the island should look. There are some photos of the larger tree being cut down as well.
After
Here we see results of the good work done by the volunteers. What a huge difference in the overall appearance of this area of the park. Apparently there will be additional clean up, gardening and stone-work done so I’ll update these images as the improvements happen.
